When Everything Was Possible Album Coming Soon! more info
Victoria Mallory, one of the brightest lights of Broadway's Golden Era, sadly and suddenly passed away from pancreatic cancer in August of last year. Help us preserve Victoria's memory and her last performance in NYC - make this memorial CD a reality and DONATE TODAY.
We are planning to release a live recording of WHEN EVERYTHING WAS POSSIBLE - A Concert (with comments), presented at New York City Center on April 29, 2012. Victoria Mallory and Kurt Peterson, of the original casts of FOLLIES, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and Lincoln Center’s WEST SIDE STORY, were welcomed back to the New York stage in a memorable evening of song and story. The show featured new orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, music direction by Michael Rafter, musical staging by Joshua Bergasse and direction by Larry Moss. Hear Kurt and Vicki sing songs from shows they were in, including WEST SIDE STORY, DEAR WORLD, FOLLIES, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and Sondheim – A Musical Tribute; and debut new songs by Kurt and Jesse Wiener.
“I was flabbergasted. Thank you for transporting me and the audience to a time when “everything was possible;” a beautifully produced evening of song and memory.” –Angela Lansbury
We want to produce the archival CD of this evening, including a beautiful booklet of many never-before-seen photographs, not only to memorialize Victoria, but also to share this message of history and hope with young artists throughout the world.
Proceeds from album sales will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
We believe this album will appeal to all artists, colleagues, theater fans and historians. Most importantly, we will be reaching out to young performers in the conservatories and universities to share this true story of perseverance and success. As Erik Haagensen of Backstage wrote in his review, “…no young performer starting out in musical theater should miss it. Not only will you learn a lot; it’ll give you hope."
